10:00-12:00 Dr. Howard Heit, Assistant Clinical Professor at Georgetown University, will present on "The Truth About Pain Management: Treating the Chronic Pain Patient with a History of Addiction"
12:00-12:30 Light Lunch/Networking
12:30-2:00 Dr. Jack Killen, is the Deputy Director from the National Institutes of Health National Center for Complementary Alternative Medicine (NCAM), will present on "Future Directions in Research on Complementary and Alternative Medicine"
2:00-2:15 Question and Answers/CEU Evaluations
Objectives:

  1. Identify the appropriate use of opioids to treat people with chronic pain and addictions.
  2. Identify the latest research on treating chronic pain with complementary and alternative methods.
  3. Identify resources available to people with pain provided by Pain Connection-Chronic Pain Outreach Center, Inc.
